Understanding Negotiation & Networking in the Workplace

The purpose of this workbookis to develop knowledge and understanding of the techniques of negotiation and of the value of networking. The first part of this task requires you to show your knowledge of the process of collaborative negotiation where those with differing objectives are able to reach a collaborative solution that is mutually acceptable. As part of that process you need to show your understanding of skills in influencing others through preparing a reasoned argument, emphasising the positive aspects of your case, remaining calm and assertive and listening to others to identify areas of common agreement.
